Integrator Feedback – Jérôme Gérard, Monbana Chocolaterie
What was the main issue before implementing the exoskeleton?
At Monbana, the major issue was the back, particularly recruitment for this very physical position. Before introducing the exoskeleton, we adapted the workstation with adjustable tables.
What led you to adopt an exoskeleton?
We had recruitment issues for this role, so we needed to adapt the workstations. I believe this will become a company-wide approach because we have the mixer position, which is physically demanding, and we also want to implement it for female employees, as we have used it on the production line and it worked well. Maybe next year for other packaging positions.
How is the Japet.W exoskeleton used in your company?
We chose the Japet exoskeleton because we felt it was the most suitable solution for our workstations.
It is mainly used by five people on the mixing line, as they lift 25-kilogram bags daily for production. Later, we hope to deploy it on the packaging line for female employees who lift 10-kilogram boxes.
How is it perceived by users?
The men are less tired and have fewer back problems. The exoskeleton is very well received by users. We take care of their health, which is currently essential. If we have new recruits, we will do exactly the same for them.
